Healing isn’t a destination- it’s the quiet return to yourself, again and again.
Hi! I’m Jack…
I’m a Registered Social Worker (#17965) offering counselling for adults navigating change, healing, or self-discovery. I offer a calm, non-judgmental, and down-to-earth space where you can explore yourself, your patterns, and your possibilities.
I show up to this work with honesty, humility, and care- and informed by my own lived experience as a queer and trans parent. Originally from England, I’ve made my home here for many years, carrying with me a deep appreciation for difference, belonging, and the many ways people create community.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a research assistant in social and mental health fields, supporting projects focused on lived experience, community wellbeing, and the impacts of systemic oppression. That background continues to shape my approach- integrating curiosity, critical thinking, and a commitment to understanding people in the context of their whole lives.
Many of the people I work with are integrating trauma, experiencing identity or relational shifts, navigating change and/or systemic oppression, and moving through the tender thresholds of life- including reproductive decision-making, the perinatal period, loss, growth, and uncertainty.
When I’m not working you can find me reading several books at a time, hanging out with my kids, and being in or around water.
Services and Rates
I offer individual counselling both in person and virtually.
Rates:
$150 for 50 minute session
$225 for 80 minute session
Many insurance companies will cover some, or all, of the cost of counselling with an RSW.
I am committed to reducing the financial barriers of accessing counselling, and I have some sliding scale spots available, please email me for more information.
Counselling Approach
I draw from a range of modalities, including relational, IFS/ parts work, EMDR, DBT, and mindfulness.
I tailor my support to fit your needs- whether you’re working through a tough patch or seeking a shift in perspective.
My approach is focused on being trauma- informed, anti-oppressive and affirming of all identities, bodies, and communities. This doesn’t mean I won’t make mistakes along the way, and I am deeply committed to repair, feedback and re-evaluating the way I do things.
I’m committed to lifelong learning and continue to grow through ongoing study, supervision, and reflection.
